May 2019 Update

To my loyal & valued customers,

I hope everyone had a relaxing and bountiful Easter with your family. My understanding is that the pigs and lambs were running scared!

The Squannacook and Nissitissit Rivers were stocked on 4/8 and 4/9 respectively with about 900+ rainbows for each river. The fish range in size from 12-15″ and are brightly colored and have not missed many meals at the hatchery. ‘Get ’em before the herons do’!

All remaining classes for the spring schedule are SOLD OUT!

Watch for new classes at the shop as you never know what might pop up.

The Deerfield and Swift Rivers have been stocked with some healthy fish. They are worth a day trip. The Millers River is “blown out” with all the recent rains.

Follow Ken Elmer’s blog —https://millersriverflyfishingforum.blogspot.com/ for up to date info on the Millers.

In southeastern NH, there are 4 rivers that all have holdovers and recently stocked fish. I have 1st hand knowledge that the Exeter River has holdover rainbows and some brookies and browns for you to poke with some sharp objects.

Reminder: If you need new comfortable, adaptable wading boots, come see the lineup of Korkers boots in the shop. The shop is fully loaded with waders of all types. Come in and see what’s new. —Fish Hard, Fish Deep, Fish Often —

Always remember that ‘You don’t need a tee time to fish’. See you on the water,

Internet Purchasing vs. ESFS Purchasing

When you take a look at the rewards program being offered and all the products I carry for your needs, it should become apparent that I’m trying to meet the needs of everyone in the fly fishing community.

Please look closely at the rewards program in conjunction with your purchase needs as I can confidently make the claim that with the rewards program the Evening Sun Fly Shop is the least expensive fly shop in America – Bar none!! There is no fly shop that I know or any conglomerate, mega box store that competes with my prices.

Millers River maps

Finally in. Come and take a look at the latest & greatest map created by the shop for this river.

Squannacook and Nissitissit maps

Get your map of the local rivers – the Squannacook & Nissitissit that I created in the store. 700+ copies have already sold to date. These maps will make great gifts.

Good News: Lost & Found Items

The two fly boxes that were found on the Nissitissit River were reunited with their rightful owner. Thanks to John A. for bringing them in. This is a good example of fly fisherman being honest and empathetic to other fly people. It is nice to have a local fly shop to assist in recovery efforts.

Still looking for the owner of a net and lanyard that were turned into the shop’s “Lost & Found” dept. Come in or call and identify your items and we will be more than happy to re-unite you with your possessions.
