February 2021 Update

To my loyal & valued customers,

February marches in with a bang. Snow and cold are reminders that we haven’t lost our grip on winter yet. For those that have endured some interaction with Covid-19, we all hope that you have come out the other side of it and have no lasting effects. If anyone has lost a loved one due to the virus, you have our thoughts and prayers.

Longer daylight hours and a change in the angle of the sun are harbingers of our season on the horizon. It won’t be long before we see the advent of the early season stonefly on our riverbanks. Are you ready for a real breakout from all that has kept us from what we do as a society? I know I am.

Countless clients at the shop have expressed a desire to ride with their buddies to a favorite fishing spot. Many have said that ZOOM, while useful, needs to go away without regret! Others have said they miss their group tying sessions more and more as this pandemic continues. All in all, I feel that when the breakout happens it will be a Tsunami of enthusiasm and a clear indication of our resiliency to everything.

Is your gear fish ready? Are you in need of a comfortable, affordable pair of new wading boots? Are your waders leaking and beyond repair? Does your net catch your flies and make it difficult to get them out or worse does your net have a hole(s) in it? Don’t get caught last minute with deflective or inadequate gear. The shop can help in so many ways. Advice, direction and willingness to help are hallmarks of my shop.

Please feel free to take advantage of all that I offer to ensure that your time on the water is not spent dealing with aggravation and frustration from your gear inadequacies. It’s tough enough to coax “them there” trout to your net without adding bogus gear to the mix!

Why not get out for an hour or so and visit the shop to see the array of items that will aid you in changing those elusive and pesky fish out of their deep, dark, secretive holding spots.

I can help in so many ways that the internet cannot even approach. Whether it is fishing destinations, advice on flies, small repairs, custom boot and wader fitting, line installation for free, etc. — The Evening Sun Fly Shop is here for you because without you I will not be here at all.

Regards and See You on the Water,
Charlie Shadan

Internet Purchasing vs. ESFS Purchasing

When you take a look at the rewards program being offered and all the products I carry for your needs, it should become apparent that I’m trying to meet the needs of everyone in the fly fishing community.

Please look closely at the rewards program in conjunction with your purchase needs as I can confidently make the claim that with the rewards program the Evening Sun Fly Shop is the least expensive fly shop in America – Bar none!! There is no fly shop that I know or any conglomerate, mega box store that competes with my prices.
